The NBA season finally tipped off with the start of the Lakers game tonight. Rings were distributed and another championship banner was unveiled. All is good in Laker land tonight.

It is always tough for any team coming off a championship title to come back motivated and with the hunger they once had. Teams seem to not play up to their potential as well. I hope the Lakers do not fall into this trend.

The Lakers come back this season with the same squad as last year. Well, of course with the addition of one Ron Artest. Say what you will about the guy, all that matters to me is Ron Ron can ball. He adds even more depth and versatility to an already deep Laker team. Big plus.

With one game down and another 81 to go, it will be an entertaining season to say the least. I just hope Lamar’s and Ron’s personal lives do not bring distractions into the locker room or on the court. The Lakers will need to be on point throughout the season, as all teams will be gunning for them each night.

Relax, sit down on your favorite seat, pop open a cold one and enjoy this NBA season. Starting tonight we have until June to see what transpires. I love L.A. and go LAKERS!
