SF Half Marathon →
Out of all the races I’ve done, by far, this was the best I’ve felt during a race. Yes, it was only 13 miles, but considering I didn’t do much/hardly any training leading up to this event, I was quite happy with my performance.
To top it off, with this finish I completed the California Dreamin’ Series(Long Beach, Huntington Beach & San Francisco races). By far the best...

Lazy Sunday Bike Ride →
After three consecutive sporting events on TV, I decided to take a ride along the beach to release my frustrations from some not so good performances from the Dodgers and Lakers.
Wasn’t too sure where I wanted to start. The SouthBay bike trail starts in Redondo Beach and continues up the coast into Santa Monica. My starting point was El Segundo. I’ll admit this was my first physical...

LA Marathon →
Many months of training lead up to yesterday’s big race. Lots of hydrating this past week and eating the “right” foods leading up to the final days.
Starting point was my home away from home, Dodger Stadium. I never get tired of taking in the beauty that is Chavez Ravine. Thanks to my brother Mario, who got up at the insane time of 4:30 a.m. to drop me off (much appreciated).

Quick, fun, ride on the bike →
Another beautiful Sunday, the country sprung forward an hour, and before I knew it half the day was almost over.
Initially, I wanted to go take my bicycle out to the south bay trail and do a long ride, but last minute decided to go meet up with a good friend and bike over to Father’s Office.
It was a nice change of pace, and we agreed that next time we needed to go on a much longer ride.

LA Marathon course video →
9 days away from the marathon. Getting nervous. Miles 18-21 worry me. That’s where I’ll find out if I will be able to keep up the pace.

LA Marathon Training →
Woke up this morning to light rain. Not happy to be running 20 miles in it. Once I arrived at the RoadRunner meeting area it stopped raining. I was debating whether or not to put on a poncho. I decided not to since the skies were turning blue.
The wind started to pick up as we started our run this morning. The group started out strong. Our first two hours into our run were rain free. A few...

LA Marathon Training →
Pleasantly surprised this morning to find a few lingering clouds and the sun starting to rise. I was expecting it to be overcast for this mornings run. I should have brought my sunglasses along. Although I did try out my new Halo running hat. I’ll only use the hat on rainy days from now on.
We ran close to 11 miles today. Did not bring my camelbak. Not needed on a short run. I did however...

LA Marathon Training →
16 miler this morning with the LA Road Runners. Felt good until mile 14 when my quads started tightening up. Our group started with 50 runners today and only 17 of us finished together. Wow!
Started to cramp up when I got into my car. Not fun. Had to do some additional stretching once the pain subsided.
The information from today is not so accurate, as I forgot to hit the pause button when we...

"Don't give up, don't ever give up." →
At the inaugural ESPY Awards, presented by ESPN, on March 3, 1993, Jimmy Valvano gave a powerful speech. While accepting the inaugural Arthur Ashe Courage and Humanitarian Award, he announced the creation of the “Jimmy V Foundation”, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. He announced that the foundation’s motto would be “Don’t give up. Don’t...

Feels like I've been down this road before...
Even though we surpassed expectations this year, losing the MLS Cup match was depressing.
Layers of clothes, gloves, and scarves were definitely needed this weekend. Seattle sure is depressing during the winter.
Blood was flowing and energy was high on our march into Qwest Field. ACB & the Riot Squad yelling various Galaxy chants. Both groups try and settle into the horrible section...

Possible new owner for the Dodgers? →
With all the signs of a messy divorce underway could the Dodgers be potentially for sale? Frank McCourt has repeatedly said no. I for one, am open to the idea. Cuban took over a lousy Dallas Maverick team and has transformed them to a winner by all accounts. Cuban expects nothing less than a championship for the Mavs. If Cuban were to acquire the Dodgers, I see the same happening to this team....

2010 LA Marathon detailed route →
The new course route was released today. This course seems to be the best one yet. It’s not too late if anyone wants to sign-up. I’m pumped and can’t wait. See you at the finish line on March 21st.

Mad Men Season Finale Recap →
The finale was nothing short of brilliant.
The sad part is, Season 4 will not appear until the summer, which leaves us lots of time to build anticipation.
But, such a great show is worth waiting for.

My goal for the upcoming LA marathon is to finish around 4 hours 45 minutes. Still got a ways to go if I want to finish at the average time for men, which is around 4:16.

Lakers tip-off the 09'-10' season
The NBA season finally tipped off with the start of the Lakers game tonight. Rings were distributed and another championship banner was unveiled. All is good in Laker land tonight.
It is always tough for any team coming off a championship title to come back motivated and with the hunger they once had. Teams seem to not play up to their potential as well. I hope the Lakers do not fall into...

Mad Men Season 3 episode 11 recap
This episode was well done and it showed why “Mad Men” is the one of the best shows on television.
It was good to be Roger Sterling this week. While at work he seems to be not needed or wanted, this changed with an appearance of an old flame, Annabelle. She comes in wanting a campaign ad for her fathers company that she inherited. But, that was just a ploy to see Roger and an excuse...

To tweet or not to tweet?
So today I was debating whether or not to sign up for a twitter account. I posted this question on my Facebook page, most said not to get one and a couple said I should. Well, I got one.
After I registered and did an initial search of a few people I went to the app store to see what twitter app I should download. The few that popped up were around $2-$5. After a couple of seconds I went with the...

The morning after
After hearing my beloved Dodgers were once again knocked off by those bastards in Philly, I thought sleeping it off would subside the pain. Wrong. It still hurts just as much this morning. I considered drinking tequlia to numb the pain but reconsidered. It’s hard to have a positive outlook after such a long season. No World Series equals a failure of a season. It really looked as though this...
